Craft Link

Supporting marginalised and impoverished communities through the sale of unique, Vietnamese handicrafts

Craft Link is the leading not-for-profit organisation working with ethnic minority craftspeople in Vietnam. Founded in 1996, we support marginalised and impoverished communities through the sale of unique, Vietnamese handicrafts. We are working with 55 producer groups including 5,000 artisans, most of whom are ethnic minorities, street children, artisans with disabilities, and artisans living in remote rural areas.

what we do

Working with both local and international NGOs, we provide such artisans with assistance in design, business skills, quality control, product development and market access, from organising exhibitions and bazaars to raise awareness to managing the wholesale, retail and export of the handicrafts.

We practice fair trade, ensuring that the producers earn fair wages, and profits generated from sales are re-invested in community programs including literacy classes, education, training, tools for production, and interest-free loans to support micro-enterprises.

We also cooperate with Vietnamese institutions such as the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology to document and revive traditional crafts.
